palm oil problems

  • It is the most traded vegetable oil & can be found in around 50% of packaged supermarket products.
  • There is no alternative in the market. Palm oil has a better yield, require less fertilizer, pesticide and energy input than other vegetable oils.
  • An estimated 300 football fields worth of rain forest are cleared every hour to make room for palm plantations.

our solution

  • We are using edible insects as a healthier and more sustainable source of fats and oils.
  •  Better yield per Hectare. Superworm larvae (Zophobas morio) reproduce so rapidly that they outperform palm oil in yield by almost 40 times in the same area of land, can be scaled vertically, and fed by agro-industry waste stream.
  • Healthier fatty Acid Properties
